Created by BIM strategist Travis Van Clieaf, the site brings together two decades of experience across architecture, engineering, and manufacturing—expressed through articles, research, videos, and ongoing digital projects.
Travis has long focused on making complex digital frameworks understandable and usable. His work has ranged from guiding CAD‑to‑BIM transformations to mentoring emerging professionals, always with an emphasis on clarity, standards, and long‑term thinking.
Beyond practice, he contributes to industry development as Chair of the Labour, Education & Workforce Think Tank, where he advocates for aligning digital education with real‑world needs and preparing the next generation of AEC talent.
LIMINALSTAR now serves as a library of ideas and IP, documenting explorations into digital delivery, BIM fluency, and the intersection of technology, teams, and practice.
