Founded by veteran BIM strategist Travis Van Clieaf, LIMINALSTAR bridges the gap between design intent and project execution by helping firms align their digital standards, team capabilities, and operational strategy with long-term business growth.

With over 20 years of experience across architecture, engineering, and manufacturing, Travis brings a rare interdisciplinary perspective. He has collaborated with stakeholders at every project phase—from early design to construction—and is known for identifying coordination breakdowns before they become costly delays. His hallmark is turning complexity into clarity through efficient, data-driven workflows.

A graduate of Sheridan College (2005), Travis has held leadership roles as a BIM Manager, Autodesk Applications Specialist, and Building Product Technologist. Since founding LIMINALSTAR in 2021, he has advised firm principals, trained emerging professionals, and guided entire teams through CAD-to-BIM transitions. He is a power user of Autodesk’s AEC and Product Design Collections, BIM 360, and Bluebeam, and has been an active member of Building Transformations since 2017.

Travis is also a sought-after educator and mentor, creating tailored training programs that build not just software skills, but strategic fluency in BIM as a business tool.
